Painter, writer and orientalist

Stefano Faravelli lives and works in Turin. After artistic training at the Accademia Albertina in Turin, is followed by a degree in moral philosophy and the study of Arabic language and culture at the Institute of Oriental Studies.
From his numerous travels in the Near, Middle and Far East, he brings back fascinating carnet de voyage published since 1994, when “Sindh. Indian notebook" came out. Since then his 'sketchbooks' have been exhibited in London, New York, Paris, Istanbul and Jerusalem.
In 2011 he exhibited in the Italian Pavilion of the 54th Venice Biennale.
